Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined Labor and Delivery and Postpartum unit, supporting a facility with approximately 250 births per month across 14 L&D beds, 6 triage beds, 2 OR suites, and 28 postpartum beds
• Circulate for C-sections as required; scrubbing experience is preferred
• Manage laboring patients at a 2:1 ratio following AWOHNN guidelines, and provide couplet care at a 1:4 ratio in postpartum
• Utilize Fetal Link for fetal heart monitoring and Cerner EMR for documentation
• Care for a diverse patient population including antepartum, high-risk deliveries, pre-eclampsia, substance abuse, insulin-dependent diabetics, and patients of any gestational age
• Float to postpartum as needed; postpartum nurses are not expected to float to L&D

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of California (or compact eligibility)
• ACLS certification required for L&D
• BLS certification required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) – AWOHNN Advanced certification required for L&D
• NRP certification required for Postpartum
• C-section circulation experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• C-section scrubbing experience
• Prior experience with high-risk obstetric populations including pre-eclampsia, antepartum, and substance abuse patients
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Fetal Link monitoring systems
• Experience working alongside OB technicians in a collaborative unit environment
