Job Summary:
The Nampa, Idaho healthcare organization is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for their Labor and Delivery Placement (LDRP) unit. This role involves providing specialized maternal and neonatal care, including attending deliveries, postpartum support, triage, and newborn care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license, certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE; a minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience; mother-baby experience preferred with at least 1 year; ability to attend deliveries, complete one hour of newborn care, perform triage, circulate cesarean sections, and provide postpartum couplet care; experience with magnesium administration; charge nurse experience preferred; in-depth experience with epidural management and titrate drips such as Pitocin, Magnesium, and insulin occasionally.
• Additional Information: Candidates must meet the radius requirement of 50 miles from the facilitys location and provide their permanent address during submission. This position may require travel duos, who will need access to two vehicles. Travelers often extend and return for subsequent assignments. Facility policy prohibits acrylic or gel nails due to the presence of NICU within the unit. Orientation includes four shifts; compliance and EPIC Curio system training are mandatory before start.
• Duties: Attend deliveries, stabilize newborns, assist in physical assessments, perform postpartum and triage duties, and assist with emergency interventions as needed. The unit has embedded NICU capability, with in-house obstetric and neonatal providers available 24/7.
• Float: Float to all St. Luke's Treasure Valley sites, including Meridian, Nampa, and Boise, within primary skill set (Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum) or as a sitter.
• Dress Code: Hospital-issued scrubs are required to be changed at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Orientation: Four shifts on unit are provided prior to start, including orientation to cesarean section, labor, and postpartum care.
• Additional Notes: No minimum holiday requirement; no call required; staffing includes resource and triage RNs, with the resource nurse assisting during shifts and all staff required to read their own electronic fetal monitoring strips using Centricity system.
