JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIESIF YOU ARE AN EXISTING TEAM MEMBER, PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK TO BE TAKEN TO THE INTERNAL CAREER SITE: MOHEGAN INTERNAL CAREER SITEPosition Summary:This position is responsible for cleaning all items and surfaces in assigned areas and ensuring they meet Mohegan Sun’s standards of cleanliness.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:Monitors and maintains the cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areasCleans floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming using the proper chemicals, tools and equipmentServices, cleans and supplies restroomsEmpties trash containers, ashtrays and ash urnsPolishes brass surfacesEnsures the safety of assigned keysSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:Reports any damages to furniture, fixtures or equipment to the supervisor, as neededCarries and maintains proper cleaning supplies for assigned tasksMinimum Education and Qualifications:Previous cleaning experience or ability to use cleaning equipment and suppliesMust be able to communicate effectively with patrons and supervisorsCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:Good verbal communication skillsKnowledge of proper cleaning techniquesPerforms job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracyTraining Requirements:Completes EVS Training Module which includes the proper use of chemicals and safety proceduresKnowledge of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment and their proper useBiohazard clean-up proceduresKnowledge of proper infection control and blood borne pathogens procedures and precautionsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Must be able to work in a casino environment with smoke, loud noises and low lightingMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to stand, bend and walk large areas of the casino property for extended periods of timeMust be able to work various shift and flexible hoursThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with this job.
