Financial Analyst

Unified Talent Group is supporting the search for a Financial Analyst in the Dayton OH area to join a growing global organization with a great reputation. This position plays a key role in supporting the U.S. finance team by providing accurate financial reporting, business analysis, and operational support that helps drive informed decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will support month-end close activities, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements while partnering with operations, sales, purchasing, and leadership teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment where accuracy and continuous improvement are highly valued. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and intercompany transactions. Maintain assigned general ledger accounts and ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items. Support the month-end close process while ensuring reporting deadlines are met. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales, gross margin, and operational reports. Assist with monthly financial reporting for local leadership and the global finance team. Complete financial reporting schedules for submission to the parent company. Support the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasts, and variance analysis. Assist with cash flow reporting and working capital analysis. Ensure compliance with internal controls and support internal audit activities. Technical Skills Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Experience supporting month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Accounting or ERP systems. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Previous experience in accounting, financial analysis, or corporate finance. Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and global teams. Positive, proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement. What's in it for you?
