About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Compact or state license in hand upon submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI preferred Must-Have: - Experience in telemetry monitoring - Proficient in cardiac telemetry and managing drips - Ability to manage patients with diagnoses such as COPD, CHF, CAD, and others Description: Please ensure that you are aware of the following responsibilities. Upon accepting the assignment, you may be assigned to an emergency team. You will be expected to stay at the facility until after the emergency event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details regarding pay for emergency events will be communicated as needed. You should not proceed with this position if you are uncomfortable with this expectation. Accepting candidates with two years of experience. Experience with patient diagnoses such as chest pain, congestive heart failure, pulmonary disease, diabetes, and more is needed. Be prepared for potential overflow from med-surg units. Special procedures include managing pre/post cath lab cases, vascular surgeries, and others. Expected patient ratios can vary but are typically 5:1. Floating to other inpatient units may be required. Every other holiday coverage is expected. The use of specific telemetry and monitoring equipment is essential. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Management of various lines and tubes including chest tubes and feeding tubes is required. Ability to manage medications and drips as prescribed is necessary. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as interpretation services may be utilized frequently. NURSYS reports for RNs must be provided with application materials. Ensure certifications are up to date prior to submission. Experience as a charge nurse will not be accepted.
