Details Med/Surg unit with telemetry capability, caring primarily for a medical/surgical patient population Patient ratios of 1:5-6 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Every other weekend and every other holiday required Required to float to all Cone Health campuses as needed for patient care Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) required and must be in hand at time of consideration BLS certification required, ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Telemetry/remote monitoring experience required Charge RN experience preferred Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line management, and PICC line care Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube, and high flow nasal cannula management preferred Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation Experience with wound care and wound vac management Current driver's license required to verify address Additional Information Provide direct patient care to medical/surgical and telemetry patients, including medication administration and cardiac monitoring All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam regardless of specialty, with two attempts allowed and no study materials provided by the facility Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as no local candidates within this radius are accepted First-time travelers are welcome to apply Rest and time off (RTO) requests must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests are accepted American Traveler Job ID P-749320.
