Radiology Technologist

Full‑time Radiology Technologist Location: Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton, IL. Position Details Sign‑on Bonus: $2,500 (eligible applicants) 10‑hour shifts, 3 days per week (7:00 am to 5:00 pm) Days: Monday, Tuesday, Friday One weekend every 8th (7:00 am to 3:00 pm) Call rotation offered but not required Benefits eligible Overview Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding five‑county area. As a full‑service acute care facility, it offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24‑hour emergency care, ambulance services, and more. The radiology department is equipped with CR and PACS technology to perform general radiology across the department, as well as within the ED, OR and hospital floors. It also offers Digital Mammography, including screenings, diagnostic work‑ups, stereotactic breast biopsies, and more. Role Purpose The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures for adult and/or pediatric patients to diagnose and treat anatomic and physiologic disorders. Responsibilities Prepare patient and equipment for procedures. Inform patient of instructions and procedure details with a high level of customer service and professionalism. Perform radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on‑call situations (if applicable), and portable exams. Perform other tasks assigned by the department. Minimum Requirements Education: Associate or Trade School Equivalent. Experience: None. Supervisor Experience: None. Licenses & Certifications: IEMA – Illinois only, MRIRadiology Technologist – Reg. Preferred Requirements Experience: less than 2 years. Licenses & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
