Loan Underwriter

Job Description The Loan Underwriter performs loan underwriting for Conventional, FHA and VA mortgage loans . Underwrites loans to the Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA) and Government National Mortgage Association Guidelines (GNMA) guidelines. (Underwriting is done manually and through the FNMA DU automated underwriting system) Performs compliance reviews on underwritten files verifying that files are in compliance with RESPA and TILA. Provides underwriting support and training to all other non-senior underwriters. Provide exceptional customer service Maintain working knowledge of an array of products and services All Candidates Must Have the Following Experiences Please DO NOT APPLY unless you have a minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in Conventional, FHA and VA mortgage loans . Master knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC underwriting guidelines. As noted above, deep experience with government loans and vast knowledge of FHA and VA underwriting guidelines is mandatory Experienced with DU and LP automated underwriting systems. Master knowledge of RESPA and TILA .
