Industrial Painter / SandblasterLocation: Cocoa Beach, FL Job Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM Overtime: Saturday opportunities available Starting Pay: $25.00/hour — higher depending on experienceWe are hiring an experienced Industrial Painter/Sandblaster for work involving surface preparation and protective coating of metal components. The position requires experience with industrial painting equipment, abrasive blasting, coating application, and working safely in demanding environments.What You'll DoPrepare metal surfaces by sandblasting rust, scale, and existing coatingsMask surfaces and prepare areas for coating applicationApply epoxy, urethane, and zinc-rich primers/coatingsOperate airless, HVLP, and conventional spray equipmentReview technical drawings, work orders, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Follow coating specifications and required thickness standardsInspect, clean, and maintain painting and blasting equipmentPerform minor equipment repairs and adjustments when neededWork safely in confined spaces, at elevated heights, and under varying environmental conditionsFollow required PPE and workplace safety proceduresDocument surface preparation, coating applications, job progress, and quality-control informationWork with the team to maintain project quality and production schedulesRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred2–3 years of industrial painting and sandblasting experienceExperience using airless, HVLP, and conventional spray equipmentKnowledge of surface preparation, sandblasting, and masking techniquesFamiliarity with epoxy, urethane, and zinc-rich coatingsAbility to read technical drawings and Safety Data SheetsUnderstanding of coating thickness requirements and measurement toolsKnowledge of PPE, confined-space, and fall/height safety practicesAble to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding workWillingness to work overtime or weekends as neededStrong attention to detail and documentation skillsGood communication and ability to work effectively with a team
