Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Physical Therapist to work in a highly collaborative school setting near Saint Johns, FL. This full-time contract assignment runs from ASAP through December 18, 2026, providing support to students across multiple school locations, with the majority of the caseload consisting of elementary-aged children. You'll be providing essential therapy services to approximately 37 students, helping them achieve important mobility and participation goals within the educational environment.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Prior experience with school-based therapy is highly valued
- Proven ability to manage varied caseloads, especially elementary students
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families
- Flexibility to travel between multiple locations within the district
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students, following IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and contribute actively to IEP meetings
- Develop customized therapy plans to support students’ physical abilities in their school environment
- Accurately document and track student progress and communicate results with educators and families
- Collaborate closely with special education and related service teams across multiple schools
- Provide guidance and training for school staff regarding student mobility and classroom adaptations
This full-time contract offers the opportunity to work five days per week, with regular 8-hour shifts. Compensation starts at $43 per hour and may increase with experience.
