Registered Nurse PICU

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role involves floating to Pediatric and NICU units as needed and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to pediatric patients in the PICU and float units.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient status, implement treatment plans, and adjust interventions accordingly.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately within the Epic system.
  
  
• 
  Assist with invasive procedures, IV placements, and ventilator management.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and safety standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid California RN license with current BLS and PALS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years recent PICU experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Previous experience with EPIC and NRP is highly desirable.
  
  
• 
  Ability to float to Pediatric and NICU units when required.
  
  
• 
  Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  
  
• 
  Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
