Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner PRN

Position Title PRN Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Location Prince George County Facility, 3000 Lottsford Vista Road, Bowie Responsibilities Conduct history and physical examinations. Review lab results and monitor blood levels. Manage sick calls and prepare discharge documentation, including physician orders and prescriptions (if prescriptive authority is granted). Provide support and resources to the adult residential program and detox as needed. Coordinate with the primary care physician and psychiatrist (with the assistance of nursing staff) when appropriate. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure medications are cost‑effective for clients after discharge, including completing prior authorization requests for medications. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Nurse Practitioner Certification. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Addiction Medicine and/or Family Practice Medicine.
