Agile Scrum Master

Agile Scrum MasterGenesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role focuses on servant leadership and coaching within an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will facilitate team alignment, maintain delivery flow using Scrum or Kanban, and partner with the Product Owner to ensure a clear, prioritized backlog while removing impediments for the team.Responsibilities:Facilitate daily team alignment through stand-ups, ensuring progress, risks, and blockers are clearly surfacedMaintain delivery flow using Scrum or Kanban practices, including monitoring WIP limits and cycle timePartner with the Product Owner to ensure a clear, prioritized, and groomed backlogRemove impediments by coordinating with cross-functional teams, leadership, and support groupsCoach teams on Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban) to improve delivery predictability and efficiencyMaintain transparency through clean boards, dashboards, and proactive stakeholder communicationDrive continuous improvement through feedback loops, observations, and retrospectivesRequirements:Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospectives)Proficiency with Jira for backlog management, dashboards, and metrics trackingUnderstanding of DevOps fundamentals, quality practices, and Definition of DoneAbility to leverage flow metrics (cycle time, WIP, throughput, predictability) to drive improvementsStrong communication and facilitation skills across cross-functional teamsServant leadership mindset with focus on coaching and impediment removalStrong problem-solving, adaptability, and stakeholder management skillsExpertise in risk, dependency, and issue managementExperience with executive status reporting (PowerPoint/Excel)Leadership and coaching experience across distributed teamsFamiliarity with Jira / Jira Align and enterprise release processesDesired skills:Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus)Strong influencing skills without formal authority; ability to build partnerships across teamsExperience with Jira Align for enterprise planning and multi-team coordinationExperience working in regulated industries (e.g., financial services) and within compliance frameworksFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and modern engineering practicesAbility to connect team delivery with business outcomes and product metricsPreferred certifications: PSM II, A-CSM, SASM, ICP-ATF, KMP, or equivalentPay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
