Biochemistry Research Scientist

A Research Scientist position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Surtees to study pathways of DNA metabolism mediated by the mismatch repair (MMR) complex Msh2-Msh3. These pathways include post-replicative MMR, double‑strand DNA break repair (DSBR) and triplet repeat (TNR) dynamics using the model system Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The project involves the development of cutting‑edge approaches, with a combination of in vitro protein biochemistry and in vivo genetic analysis. The Surtees lab provides a collegial environment and has trained a diverse group of people over the years. We welcome scientists from all backgrounds and we mentor trainees at all levels.
