AR Accountant w/ GL Experience

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Consultant
Location: Thomasville, GA Area
Pay Range: $30 - $40/HR
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to support a 3–6 month project focused on process documentation, process creation, and data cleanup, with the potential to convert to a permanent role. This is a critical opportunity to help build a foundation of accountability, accuracy, and structure within the finance function as the organization works to formalize and elevate its AR operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop clear, comprehensive process documentation for Accounts Receivable workflows
• Identify gaps in current procedures and assist in designing new processes to improve efficiency and accountability
• Perform data cleanup within the existing ERP system (Ohm ERP experience not required)
• Monitor deliverables and help drive a culture of meeting deadlines and expectations
• Support general ledger accounting tasks as needed, providing flexibility beyond core AR duties
• Partner closely with accounting department and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial operations
• Utilize Excel for daily tasks including filtering, formulas, v-stack, and general data review

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounting Operations, or similar
• Strong understanding of GL accounting principles
• Experience creating workflows, documentation, or process improvements strongly preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently in a changing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (filters, formulas, v-stack, standard functions)
• Self-starter who can navigate ambiguity and help build structure where none currently exists
