Truck Driver CDL A OTR

Position Description Immediate opening! We have an opening for a Class A CDL Regional Truck Driver and we want the right Driver to join us at Ryder in Kansas City, KS. Ryder provides consistent freight, weekly pay, and a range of benefits. Class A CDL drivers can earn $2100+ per week, potentially exceeding $115,000 per year. Compensation & Pay Hourly Pay: $26.00 per hour base pay plus $1 for every 3 certifications/endorsements. Overtime after 40 hours. Per diem pay: $50 per night. Paid travel. Tenure bonus: $1,000 each year with the company. Freight mix of touch/no touch. Schedule Monday–Friday, flexible. Route & Truck Details Deliver SOLO to IL, WI, MO, MN, KS, IA, NE, ND and SD. Tractor type: day cab and sleeper, 26' straight truck possible. Trailer types: 48'–53' flatbed, dry van, reefer, conestoga, curtainside, container. Equipment: manual pallet jack, rollers, lift gate, Moffett. Load securement: strapping, tarping, chaining. Truck & Maintenance Trucks are three years or newer. Drivers get 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at 800+ facilities. Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days. 80 hours PTO in first year, start day 1. Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug/alcohol verification from last 3 years). Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements. Class A verifiable experience: 9 months within past 3 years OR 2 years within last 5 years OR 5 years within last 10 years. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. Detect, eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs. Load/unload freight or assist loading/unloading as required by customer. Perform other duties as assigned.
