Womens Health Clinician Opportunity

Vivo HealthStaff has been retained by a large non-profit womens health organization providing reproductive health services across Northern California. New Grad Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are encouraged to apply. Womens Health Nurse Practitioners and Certified Nurse-Midwives are also encouraged to apply.

Our client has an intensive training program for new clinicians interested in pursuing a career in womens healthcare. Ideal applicants have the interest to serve those in need and in rural areas.

Services and duties provided:

• Reviews & interprets the medical and social history of both male and female reproductive health patients.
• Performs appropriate medical screening procedures/exams for both male and female patients.
• Interprets laboratory data, orders additional laboratory investigations when indicated and ensures appropriate follow-up.
• Provides contraceptive methods: contraceptives that are self-administered (no procedure required); Provides/oversees contraceptive injections.
• Provides emergency contraception.
• Performs medical assessment and management of basic STI and genito-urinary conditions for both male and female patients.
• Provides perimenopausal and menopausal services.
• Provides medical management for complications related to abortion and sterilization.
• Provides medication abortion, as indicated.
• Manages emergency situations in the center.
• Participates in staff meetings relating to center management and provides staff training in current medical procedures which are relevant to reproductive health.
• Contributes to achieving health center productivity goals.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program; graduation from a Womens Health NP or Certified Nurse Midwife program is also acceptable.
• Active BLS certification.
