We're expanding into the Orlando market and looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to lead the charge - building relationships with builders, architects, and interior designers throughout greater Orlando with the goal of growing your own territory and pipeline.

You Are:

• A natural connector with familiarity of the Orlando area and the drive to build a consultative, relationship-based business from the ground up.

You Have:

• A track record of building long-term relationships, ideally with architects, designers, builders, or trade partners. Steady work history, strong communication skills, high EQ, and a pleasant disposition.

Your Location:

• Hybrid (Expectation of reporting to the office 1x/week- frequency may flex a bit)
• 600 Herndon Ave, Orlando, FL 32803
• Territory: Greater Orlando metro (Orange, Seminole, and Lake County) 

Your Schedule:

• Full Time (40hrs/Wk)
• Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Your Manager:

• Jacqui Morales, Business Development Executive

Your Contribution to Definitive Electronics:

• Build relationships with architects, designers, builders, and trade partners across greater Orlando, positioning us as a trusted AV and home automation resource
• Manage a pipeline via CRM - supporting sales on stalled leads, prospecting through visits, calls, and LinkedIn/email
• Build referral relationships with complementary, non-competing vendors (lighting, window treatments, high-end appliances, landscape architecture)
• Visit established accounts quarterly to keep relationships warm and surface new opportunities
• Represent the company at industry events 
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management
• Support and lead trade partner education events

Your Ideal Knowledge/Experience:

• Familiarity with the Orlando area required
• 1-3 years of business development, sales, or hospitality experience 
• Thrives on prospecting rather than waiting for inbound leads
• Comfortable with a field-heavy, client-facing role
• Consultative approach, not high-pressure or cold-call sales
