Registered Nurse Full Time

Methodist Health System is seeking a compassionate and skilled full-time Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department within our Healthcare & Medical Services team. As a vital member of our front‑line clinical staff, you will provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care to individuals experiencing urgent and critical health conditions in a fast‑paced hospital environment. In this role, you will perform rapid, thorough assessments; prioritize care using established triage protocols; and deliver evidence‑based nursing interventions for a diverse adult and pediatric patient population. You will administer medications, start and manage IV lines, monitor cardiac rhythms, assist with procedures, and respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient status. Partnering closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other members of the care team, you will help stabilize patients with medical, surgical, trauma, and behavioral health emergencies. You will be responsible for accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record, clear handoff communication, and active participation in interdisciplinary rounds. Patient and family education, advocacy, and emotional support are central to this position, as you guide individuals and their loved ones through stressful and often complex situations. You will adhere to all safety, infection prevention, and quality standards while supporting performance improvement initiatives in the Emergency Department. Critical care or emergency nursing experience is required for this opportunity.
