• Full-time academic faculty position within a respected Department of Ophthalmology
• Join a growing department with expanded clinical, educational, and research resources supported by a new free standing Eye Institute opening in 2026
• Care for patients with complex visual disorders related to neurologic disease, including brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and other disorders of the nervous system
• Evaluate patients with unexplained vision loss, diplopia, visual field defects, and headaches
• Work collaboratively with neurology, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, and other specialists in a multidisciplinary academic setting
• Serve as a consultant to referring physicians and provide direct patient care as part of multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Teach and mentor ophthalmology residents, fellows, and medical students
• Participate in clinical research and scholarly activity in a supportive academic environment
• EPIC EMR
• Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
• Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
• Experience an environment that provides safe and equitable care for all patients

• M.D. or D.O.  with completion of an Accredited residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
• Fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology  
• Licensed / Eligible for licensure in North Carolina 
• Active DEA in North Carolina
