Security Project Engineer

Job Title This position is responsible for project coordination, safety, installation, checkout, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Ensures that daily activities on site for projects are completed and regular progress on projects are communicated to the project manager. Responsibilities include: Ensuring all design engineer activity is aligned with latest conformed construction documents prior to installation Collaborating with project manager and procurement personnel on purchasing activity and monitoring budget risks Assisting the PM in material procurement Ensuring materials are being delivered to site or subcontractors for installation Validating hardware and project installations Installing, replacing, and re-commissioning devices, equipment, and software Diagnosing communication problems and installing control devices and other components as well as troubleshooting software and hardware issues Participating in field quality control or safety audits and reviewing analysis and results Coordinating with on-site contractors for the installation of equipment based on shop drawings Acting as primary point of contact for subcontractors during installation phase Coordinating and addressing any issues during installation phase independently Collaborating with the Project Manager to coordinate projects through the installation phase Providing feedback to the Project Manager for manpower requirements Ensuring that installation tracking sheets are updated regularly Preparing customer-training manuals and providing customized training Contributing to a complete operations to service turnover process Being responsible for overall system functionality/performance Setting up outside ISP connections and remote connectivity to customer sites Qualifications: At least 4 years' experience as a Systems Application Engineer with related industry knowledge, and demonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with customers and other trades. This individual should have experience with HVAC and security installations and be proficient in all types of building systems and application of our technology. Shall be capable of coordination of other project team activities on site, including coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and customers.
