Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a night shift assignment at Mayers Memorial District Hospital in Fall River Mills, California. This role is within a Critical Access Hospital providing care for a wide range of acute medical conditions, trauma, and emergency cases.

The ED RN will be responsible for rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients, collaborating closely with the charge nurse, nursing supervisor, and physician team. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to multitask in a high-acuity environment, and adherence to emergency protocols.

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year ED (Emergency Department) experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS, PALS, and CPR required
• NRP and TNCC required within 1 year of hire
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency setting

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care
• Administer treatments and emergency interventions as ordered
• Perform EKGs, IV starts, blood draws, and other ED procedures
• Initiate resuscitation protocols when needed
• Document patient care accurately and timely
• Collaborate with ED team and notify charge nurse/MD of critical findings
• Maintain infection control and safety standards
• Provide patient and family education
