Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in North Carolina
- Experience in school settings highly preferred
- Strong understanding of a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Ability to create engaging, individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Dedication to maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to evaluate students’ speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school-based professionals
- Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven recommendations
- Provide resources and support to families to encourage carryover of skills
- Engage in regular meetings and contribute to the IEP process
