Position Overview

This assignment requires a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist (ST) with extensive knowledge and experience in various specialties, including Orthopedic, Neuro, and Vascular surgery. Candidates lacking a comprehensive range of current experience will not be considered.

Shift Details

• Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, which may consist of four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts. Start and end times are negotiable.
• Call Requirement: Approximately every fifth weekend with 1-2 call shifts per week. Call volume may increase based on departmental needs.
• Response Time: All on-call duties require a 30-minute response time from the time of the call until arrival on site.
• Holiday Call: Possible participation in a holiday call rotation based on patient census and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent critical thinking abilities and a solid understanding of central processing and instrumentation are required.

Additional Information

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract due to operational needs. The call and holiday rotation may vary based on current patient census and staffing levels. All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of submission to ensure it is honored.
