What You’ll Do As a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs. Job Duties Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs. Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders to support stores and store associates and document repair activities. Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely. Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines. Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and be comfortable working at heights frequently. Minimum Qualifications 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration Universal EPA Certification Preferred Qualifications Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration. Excellent driving record. Prior work experience with Glycol and CO₂ systems.
