Position: Cleaning Technician
Location: Elmira, Corning, Northern PA & Surrounding Areas
Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

D&R Professional Cleaning is growing, and we need good people to grow with us.

We currently serve 84 reputable locations throughout the Elmira, Corning, Northern Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas , with more locations being added as we grow.

We have a variety of schedules available, including days, evenings, overnights, weekdays, and weekends. Open availability is preferred.

You do not need years of cleaning experience or a perfect resume.

We hire for attitude and train for skill.

Previous professional cleaning experience is welcome, but it is not required.

We can teach you how to clean the D&R way.

What we need from you is the attitude, reliability, communication, and work ethic to do it well.

What You Will Be Doing

Every client location is a little different, but your work may include:

• Sweeping and mopping floors

• Vacuuming

• Dusting

• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms

• Cleaning break rooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas

• Emptying trash and replacing bags

• Restocking toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other supplies

• Cleaning glass, doors, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces

• Wiping and sanitizing assigned surfaces

• Using cleaning products, tools, and equipment safely

• Keeping track of supplies and reporting when something is running low

• Reporting anything broken, damaged, unsafe, or out of the ordinary

• Following the cleaning checklist for your assigned location

• Completing your assigned work within the scheduled shift

• Communicating with your supervisor when needed

• Helping with other cleaning tasks when needed

Many of our Cleaning Technicians work independently at client locations.

That means trust, communication, and reliability are a big part of this job.

We need to know that you will show up, complete your work, communicate when something comes up, and take care of our customers' facilities as if someone were standing right beside you.

Available Schedules

D&R services many different types of locations, so schedules vary depending on the account.

Available opportunities may include:

• Day shifts

• Evening shifts

• Overnight shifts

• Weekdays

• Weekends

• Full-time hours

• Part-time hours

Open availability is preferred.

The more flexible your availability is, the more opportunities we may be able to offer you as hours and new locations become available.

What You Need

Because our Cleaning Technicians work throughout the Elmira, Corning, Northern PA, and surrounding areas, dependable transportation and communication are important.

Applicants should have:

• A valid driver's license

• Reliable transportation

• A reliable way to be reached by phone

• Strong communication skills

• Dependable attendance

• The ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• The ability to manage your time and work independently

• A strong work ethic

• A willingness to learn

• A respectful and professional attitude

Depending on your assignment, you may need to travel to different D&R client locations.

This Is a Physical Job

Professional cleaning is hands-on, physical work.

We want applicants to understand what the job involves before applying.

During a normal shift, you may regularly need to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods

• Bend

• Reach

• Twist

• Kneel or crouch

• Push and pull

• Use repetitive hand and arm movements

• Carry cleaning supplies and equipment

• Go up and down stairs

• Move throughout a building for much of your shift

• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
