As a Business Analyst, you will use your knowledge, skills, and abilities to solve organizational information challenges and will use your critical thinking skills to identify client requirements and translate those into detailed instructions for your development team to execute. The ideal Business Analyst also has strong writing and communication skills, ability to learn technical concepts, and is able to build relationships with both their team members and clients. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA, Lafayette, LA, or Knoxville, TN office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Future Duties and Responsibilities Gather, develop, document and validate business, functional and technical requirements. Interact with client during JAD sessions. Interact with advanced business analysts and solution developers to communicate and validate requirements. Perform functional and integrated testing. Prepare and maintain project documentation and artifacts including analysis, reports and user documentation. Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements. Assists all phases of software systems programming applications. Evaluates new and existing software products. Author and prepare meeting minutes to be distributed to a variety of audiences. Author user stories, test scripts, and other Agile deliverables. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a business related field or information systems management preferred. Minimum 4 years work experience as a business analyst. Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle. Strong analytical and writing skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a team environment under tight timelines. Ability to multi task and support multiple projects at once. Experience working with JIRA and Confluence. Desired Qualifications / Non-essential Skills Experience authoring SQL queries will strongly benefit a candidate. Compensation CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $51,600.00 – $121,100.00.
