JobSummary: TheEquipmentOperatorisresponsibleforsafelyandefficientlysupportingasphaltplantoperationsthroughacombinationofloaderandothermobileequipmentoperationandground-personduties.Thispositionoperatesloadersandotherequipmenttomove,stockpile,andfeedaggregatematerialswhilealsoperforminghands-onplantdutiestosupportproduction,maintenance,housekeeping,andmaterialflow.TheEquipmentOperatorperformsroutineequipmentandplantinspections,assistswithmaintenanceandrepairs,andworkscollaborativelywithplantpersonneltomaintainsafe,continuous,andefficientasphaltproduction. EssentialFunctions: Safetyalwayswins. Createandmaintainazero-incidentworkenvironmentwhileperformingbothmobileequipmentoperationandground-persondutiesthroughouttheasphaltplant.Takepersonalresponsibilityforsafetybywearingrequiredpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE),conductinginspections,identifyingandaddressinghazards,andconsistentlyfollowingcompanypoliciesandapplicableOSHA,MSHA,andotherregulatorysafetyrequirements. Determined. Safelyandefficientlyoperateafront-endloaderandotherassignedmobileequipmenttomove,stockpile,blend,andloadaggregatematerialsandmaintainanefficientflowofmaterialsthroughouttheplant. Committedtoserve. Feedaggregatematerialsintoplantbins,hoppers,conveyors,andotherprocessingequipmenttosupportcontinuousasphaltproductionandpreventinterruptionsinmaterialsupply. Resultsmatter. Performground-persondutiesthroughouttheasphaltplant,includingmonitoringmaterialflow,clearingmaterialbuildup,cleaningaroundconveyorsandproductionequipment,maintainingworkareas,andassistingwithotherhands-onplantoperationsasneeded. Performpre-operationalandpost-operationalinspectionsofloadersandotherassignedequipmentanddocumentfindingstoensureequipmentreadinessandcompliancewithsafetystandards. Ownershipandcaring. Inspectplantandmobileequipmentforpotentialissuesandidentify,report,andassistinresolvingequipmentmalfunctions,maintenanceneeds,materialblockages,andotheroperationalconcernstominimizedowntime. Measurement. Monitorstockpiles,aggregatesupply,materialflow,andplantoperatingconditionsandadjustworkactivitiesasnecessarytomaintainproductqualityandproductionefficiency. Obligated. Supportplanthousekeepingbymaintainingcleanandorganizedproductionareas,roadways,stockpiles,conveyors,equipmentareas,andotherworkspaces.Performshoveling,sweeping,andmaterialcleanupasnecessary. Safety. Followestablishedtrafficpatterns,lockout/tagoutprocedures,plantprocedures,andsafeoperatingpracticeswhileworkingaroundmobileequipment,conveyors,hotmaterials,andotherasphaltplantoperations. Humility. Assistmaintenancepersonnelwithplantandequipmentservicing,repairs,inspections,andscheduledshutdownactivitiesasneeded. Resultsmatter. Completerequiredproduction,equipmentinspection,maintenance,andoperationalrecordsaccuratelyandtimely. Protectfamilyandfriends .Participateinsafetymeetings,trainingprograms,andcontinuousimprovementinitiativesandcommunicatehazards,equipmentconcerns,andoperationalissuestoappropriateplantpersonnel. Requirements,EducationandExperience: HighschooldiplomaorGEDpreferred. Onetothreeyearsofexperienceoperatingfront-endloadersorotherheavyequipmentinanasphaltplant,quarry,construction,orsimilarindustrialenvironmentpreferred. Knowledgeofsafeequipmentoperation,aggregatehandling,materialflow,stockpilemanagement,andasphaltplantoperationspreferred. Abilityandwillingnesstoperformacombinationofmobileequipmentoperationandhands-onground-persondutiestosupportplantproduction. Abilitytoinspectequipment,identifyandcommunicatemechanicaloroperationalissues,andassistwithroutinemaintenance,troubleshooting,andplantcleanup. Abilitytoread,understand,andfollowoperationalprocedures,equipmentmanuals,andapplicablesafetyandenvironmentalrequirements. Strongattentiontosafety,quality,andproductivitywiththeabilitytoworkeffectivelybothindependentlyandaspartofateam. Validdriver'slicenserequired. Abilitytocompleterequiredcompanyandregulatorysafetytraininguponhire.
