Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in Overland Park, KS. This role involves providing critical care in a Level 2 trauma center within the emergency department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and triage care, adhering to hospital protocols and maintaining positive patient interactions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week, starting within 5-7 days of offer
• Required Qualifications: Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license; Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Minimum of 2 years experience in a Level 2 trauma center
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), and CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training preferred
• Additional Information: Knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke, sepsis, and triage procedures is essential. Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center. Use of AIDET and whiteboards recommended for patient communication. Navigates documentation using Meditech system.
• Dress Code: Cobalt blue top and black or cobalt blue pants (solid color). Closed toe shoes.
