Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry night shift position requiring prior travel nursing experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Full-time night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM start), 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• First to float to like units
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (American Heart or American Red Cross for BLS only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience required
• At least 1 completed travel contract required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references required, with 1 from most recent travel assignment
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Holiday coverage required (1-2 holidays during contract)
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• Candidates applying to Highland Park, Evanston, Glenbrook, Northwest Community, or Skokie locations must complete a Relias EKG test with a score of 80% or higher
• Facility conducts a brief interview, typically 10-15 minutes
