Position Details:

• Location: Downtown Charlotte, NC
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, with flexible but consistent start and end times
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid-2 days onsite and 3 days remote
• Pay: $34-$38/hr
• Employment Type: Long-term contract, with potential temp-to-hire opportunity in mid-2027

What You'll Do:

• Manage capital invoicing and collaborate directly with project managers.
• Investigate and resolve complex accounts payable issues involving retainage, sales tax, payment discrepancies, and invoice exceptions.
• Troubleshoot escalated AP issues and coordinate resolutions with outsourced processing partners.
• Prepare journal entries and expense transfers.
• Analyze financial data and support payment processing and settlement activities.
• Provide backup support to the Senior Accountant and assist with evolving financial operations.

What We're Looking For:

• Hands-on Accounts Payable experience beyond routine invoice processing and data entry.
• Strong analytical, research, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, CONCATENATE, formulas, and working with large datasets.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve complex financial issues with internal stakeholders.
• Adaptability and comfort working through changing processes, ambiguity, and evolving priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Workday ERP experience.
• Capital project invoicing, retainage, or complex AP transaction experience.
• Experience preparing journal entries, processing expense transfers, or supporting settlement runs.
