Job Title

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR - School Nursing Program promotes optimal health of the school population through nursing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides first aid illness
• Administers medications and treatments
• Conducts health screening and referral programs
• Carries out communicable disease control activities
• Promotes safety
• Maintains accurate health records
• Provides health education and health counseling to individuals and or groups
• Participation on Planning and Placement Team, Student Assistance Team and other Interdisciplinary Teams
• Home visits
• Overseeing of School Health Aides, Nursing Students and or volunteers
• Communicates with community recourses as needed
• Develops and implements Individual Health Care Plans for students with special needs
• Other related duties and Public Health programs as assigned

Registered Nurse with BSN OR Associates Degree with at least 15 academic credits in required areas of study Must have 1 year of Nursing experience within the last 5 years 2 days per week (15 hours)
