Subcontracts Specialist

Talascend is currently seeking a Subcontracts Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona . Overview This role involves taking ownership of securing parts under contract within a FAR Part 15 environment, establishing long-term agreements, and ensuring compliance with acquisition regulations. The position supports the end-to-end cycle of FAR15 proposals and subcontracts, focusing on government sourcing and negotiation. Responsibilities Execute FAR15 subcontracts in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulations Build strong negotiation positions for contract execution Manage key program suppliers Mentor and train team members Develop supplier strategies to deliver best overall value Support proposal development, fulfillment, and negotiations for subcontracts or long-term purchase orders Work closely with the pricing organization and negotiate with suppliers to secure FAR15 compliant subcontracts Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, business, or finance US person due to contractual requirements Subcontracting experience (FAR15) Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication and people skills Strong negotiation skills and processes Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education The details of the position are only a summary, other duties may be assigned as necessary.
