Orthopedics Physician Assistant

Opportunity: Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Orthopedic Job Details: • Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments • Develop and implement treatment plans under physician supervision • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic and imaging studies • Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgical procedures • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management and follow-up care • Educate patients and families regarding orthopedic conditions, treatment plans, recovery expectations, and rehabilitation • Perform orthopedic-related procedures including joint injections and other office-based procedures • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the medical record • Participate in rotational call coverage as assigned (1:4 schedule) • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, and ancillary departments • Day-shift schedule promoting excellent work-life balance • Must be board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery • Current Vermont PA-C License required (or willingness to obtain) • CPR and DEA certification required prior to start • Minimum 2 years PA experience in primary care or relevant specialty preferred • Not accepting visa candidates or new graduates with less than 1 year experience Compensation: Employed salary with benefits.
