Summary:

A Metal Helper assists skilled metalworkers, fabricators, welders, and machinists in the production, assembly, and repair of metal products and structures. This role involves preparing materials, operating basic tools and equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and supporting manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Cutting material with chop saw or band saw
• Rolling aluminum material
• Pulling out material that is over rolled
• Marking out material for bending
• Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness
• Follow OSHA and workplace safety regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be capable of reading a tape measure
• Must be comfortable with tools and learning new tools
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to do physical labor up to 100lbs and stand for long periods of time

Work Environment

• Manufacturing plants
• Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and metalworking equipment.
• Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive physical activities throughout the workday.
