PharmD on Demand partners with Aletheia Health Partners to enhance rural healthcare by integrating high-quality pharmacy services with strategic advisory support, ensuring both patient safety and hospital sustainability.Job Description: We're seeking a full-time experienced Director of Pharmacy to join our team at Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville, GA. The ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates strong leadership skills, problem-solving skills, and a strategic vision for improving patient care and operational efficiency. We offer a competitive salary, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications, as well as the opportunity for advancement, employee recognition, and team collaboration.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Working under the supervision of our Pharmacy Management team as well as Hospital Administration, fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation.Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand.Interprets physician medication orders.Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and related products for patient care by performing related duties.Responsible for supervising all onsite staff, including pharmacists and technicians.Ability to represent the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner; ability to maintain customer confidentiality at all times; ability to comply with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices; ability to exercise judgment; ability to interact with all types of people; ability to maintain remain professional in all situations; ability to use time effectively.Utilizes pharmaceutical equipment to include automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment.Responsible for overseeing restock, maintenance management, contract renewals, etc. for automated dispensing machinesP & T committee requirements as indicated per policyMed Exec committee policy as indicated per policy and hospital expectationsMaintenance of all applicable accreditations and licensesResponsible for quality improvement initiatives as requested by the hospital and per policyHaving a willingness to make changes to processes to improve efficiency and ultimately provide clinical support for patientsIdentify processes for improvementsResponsible for all order entry during hours of operation and clinical patient reviewsResponsible for Chargemaster upkeepResponsible for Formulary management both perpetually and in the EHR systemResponsible for all things related to clinical informatics in and regarding the pharmacy departmentPerforms all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errorsWorks cooperatively with the remote pharmacists and responds to requests in a timely mannerPosition Requirements:Current Pharmacist licensure in applicable state(s)Managerial experienceSchedule Requirements:30-40 hours/weekTop benefits: As a team member at PharmD on Demand, you'll enjoy:Comprehensive benefits packageContinuing education supportMembership DiscountsPaid time offSocial EventsGrowth opportunities
