Minimum Qualifications (PROMOTIONAL)
Permanent status as an Auditor Assistant with the City of New Orleans or Sewerage and Water Board and one (1) year of experience in that classification. (ORIGINAL ENTRANCE)
1. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university OR a Bachelor's Degree in another field with at least fifteen (15) semester hours of accounting and nine (9) additional hours in either economics, management, or another business related course from an accredited college or university. (Credit will only be given for semester hours listed on college transcript with an accounting course prefix).*
2. One (1) year of professional auditing experience. NOTE: Possession of a current Certified Public Accountant Certificate in Louisiana may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience. Some positions may require a valid driver's license and use of an automobile. * Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify any education and licenses claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification.
