Maintenance Area Team Lead

You'll play a vital role in our team by:

• Leading maintenance crews during assigned shifts, ensuring corrective tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and with high quality, including reporting and entering a follow up request after a temporary corrective maintenance.
• Managing shift-based maintenance activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution of corrective tasks and proper reporting of temporary repairs requiring follow-up.
• Prioritizing work orders based on production needs, safety risks, and equipment criticality.
• Serving as the first point of contact for troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinating emergency repairs.
• Communicating shift activities, issues, and completed tasks to incoming teams and supervisors.
• Responsible for executing planned activities when no corrective maintenance is required.
• Providing hands-on support and guidance for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs.
• Ensuring proper use of tools, PPE, and maintenance procedures in line with site safety standards.
• Supporting root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures and assisting in implementing corrective actions.
• Maintaining accurate records of completed work in the CMMS (SAP), including parts used and labor hours.
• Conducting daily equipment walkdowns to detect early signs of wear or failure.
• Facilitating rapid root cause analysis (RCA) immediately after critical breakdowns.
• Ensuring lessons learned from failures are integrated into PM routines and SOPs.

Assist in executing and improving preventive maintenance (PM) routines.

• Identifying opportunities to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Monitoring equipment condition and escalating concerns to engineering or reliability teams.
• Supporting TPM initiatives and basic condition checks performed by operators.

Mentor junior technicians and support cross-training across maintenance disciplines.

• Participating in safety meetings and leading toolbox talks focused on maintenance best practices.

Enforcing safe work practices and ensuring compliance with lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.

• Maintaining clean and organized work areas, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
• Reporting safety incidents, near misses, and equipment hazards promptly.

We're looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation:

• 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled roles.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (preferably SAP) and basic documentation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proven leadership ability in a shift-based, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and coordination skills across departments.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance is preferred.
• OSHA 10/30, LOTO, and other relevant safety certifications a plus.
• Willingness to pursue additional training in reliability tools and leadership.
