Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Pride Health is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s medical facility in San Juan Capistrano, CA . This is a 3+ months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist Pay Rate: $55 -$70/hour on W2. Duration: 3+ months *Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and complex laboratory tests. Check specimen quality and ensure proper specimen handling. Accurately enter, review, and report laboratory results. Perform quality control, calibration, and equipment checks. Troubleshoot testing or equipment issues and report problems when needed. Prepare and maintain reagents, controls, and laboratory supplies. Maintain accurate labeling and tracking of specimens, reagents, and supplies. Recognize critical or unusual results and take appropriate action. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Follow PPE, safety, waste disposal, and infection‑control procedures. Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, managers, customers, and suppliers. Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement, training, and continuing education. Train or supervise unlicensed staff when required. Answer phones and handle messages professionally. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience 0–3 years of direct laboratory experience. Education & License Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or Life/Physical Sciences — Required. Skills Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong typing and computer skills. Laboratory automation experience preferred. Good attention to detail, hand‑eye coordination, and ability to perform repetitive tasks. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 10 lbs. and occasionally 11–25 lbs. Ability to safely handle laboratory materials and equipment. Good color vision may be required for certain laboratory testing.
