Job Description Job Description We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Medical/Optical Receptionist to join our team. This position is the first point of contact for patients and is responsible for ensuring a smooth, professional experience in a healthcare. The ideal candidate has experience in patient services, scheduling, and insurance verification, with a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. May grow to full time.
Key Responsibilities:
️ Front Desk Duties:
Greet and check in/out patients in a courteous, professional manner
Answer phones and respond to inquiries, route calls appropriately
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using EHR/EMR systems
Administrative Support:
Collect and verify patient information, update records accurately
Obtain insurance information and verify coverage
Collect copays and balances, process payments
Prepare and organize patient charts for the clinical team
️ Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification a plus
1–2 years of receptionist experience in a medical, dental, or optical office preferred
Knowledge of basic medical/optical terminology
Strong communication and organizational skills
Professional demeanor and customer service skills
