Clerical/Technical Support Compensation Plan

Compensation Plan Pay Grade: 1 Shift Type: Full-Time Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Principal EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To assist the counselors and guidance office staff by processing and maintaining accurate school/student records and communicating enrollment information to students, parents, and the school community.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High School Diploma/GED SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Computer related skills with keyboarding experience EXPERIENCE: This is a high school level position and should have some previous secretarial experience.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Process student requests for TEA Forms and Transcript copies Make and receive telephone calls, and take messages Assist counselors and registrar with students enrolling and withdrawing Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands: Reading and comprehending simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Writing simple correspondence and effectively presenting information to individuals. Maintaining emotional control under stress. Interact with the public and other staff and occasionally meet multiple demands from several people. Physical demands/environmental factors: Reaching with hands and arms, and frequently repeating the same hand. Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 20 lbs. Standing, walking, talking, and hearing. Low noise level in work environment.
