Automotive Plant Project Manager

Job Description Position: Industrialization Project Manager Location: Macungie PA - Mack Trucks Experience: BS automotive, or mechanical engineering. 5-8 Years Experience As an Industrialization Project Manager, your job will be to manage deviation requests. Successful candidate will be responsible for garnering all in-plant cross-functional approvals/support for deviations from norm, and industrializing/implementing the deviated parts/process. You will play a pivotal role in planning and executing the verification and validation test plan, aligned with our defined project deliverables. You will have the opportunity to work with innovative resources and collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to deliver exceptional results according to plan. Responsibilities: Manage and optimize all activities related to the verification and validation of features and vehicle regulations, including managing deviation requests. Plan, follow-up, and deliver Industrialization projects with limited complexity cross organizations or complex subprojects within our organization according to agreed scope, budget, time plan, and quality. Industrialization Project Management focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project in the manufacturing & industrialization area including: Preparing designs, project controls, and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing, and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc. Ensure the delivery of project requirements with a focus on quality, on-time delivery, cost control, and vehicle feature targets. Coordinate incoming test requests using a risk management approach with the support of Feature Engineers. Represent the Complete Vehicle organization in project management teams, design reviews, and clinics, among others. Identify necessary resources and associated costs to execute the verification and validation plan. Lead feature reviews and provide regular status reports to the project team. Contribute to project documentation and ensure that project time plans cover all activities required for thorough component, system, and function verification and validation. Collaborate with the PMO team on daily planning and task execution. Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (master's preferred). 5-8+ years of project management experience, preferably in the automotive industry. Leadership experience is highly valued. Proficiency in quality tools such as risk analysis, FMEA, and Project Assurance quality is preferred. Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodology is a plus. Knowledge of North American automotive safety regulations (FMVSS/CMVSS) is desirable. Effective communication skills and a positive mindset.
