General Production Worker

Job Title: General Production Worker

Responsibilities

• Work in a team of three to operate coating or slitting machines.

• Assist and shadow operators during the initial contract period.

• Utilize computerized controls for machine operation.

• Apply mechanical skills to troubleshoot and make small adjustments during production.

• Handle heavy rolls of material with forklift assistance, with training provided if necessary.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of recent machine operating experience, ideally 2 years.

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot.

• Computer literacy.

• Experience with forklifts, coating machines, slitter machines, overhead cranes, and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Machine troubleshooting capabilities are advantageous.

• Forklift experience is preferred but not required.

• Prior experience in a coating or slitting company is a plus.

Work Environment

Work on a rotating schedule,(NO WEEKENDS!) alternating every other week between days (7 AM - 7 PM) and nights (7 PM - 7 AM), with shifts lasting 3 or 4 days.

Enjoy paid breaks, including two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch during the 12-hour shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milford, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
