Building Lead is responsible for leading their crew during the movement of specified precut parts to work area and positioning of the parts in accordance to the blueprint specifications.Basic FunctionsCoach and provide direction, assistance and training to the production personnel in their work areaEnforcement of safety procedures for the company to ensure it is compliant with federal and state safety lawsCoach and maintain the quality control standards and procedures as established by the companyTrain and maintain the production best practices established for the production of roof and floor trusses and wall panels.ResponsibilitiesEnsures that reporting employees obey all safety rules and regulationsObeys and ensures others obey all company policies, procedures, rules and regulationsEnsures that scheduled work in their particular area is completedEnsures completion of jobs so that work can be delivered to meet customer's deadlinesCoaches best practices in use of tools, handling material and building componentsEnsures that all reporting employees are busy and productiveEnsures their team cleans work area daily at the end of the shiftEnsures their team is ready to work in their area at the beginning of every shift and at the end of breaksInforms Plant Manager when material is missing, defective or additional material is neededMaintains a spirit of teamwork with all employeesRequirementsAbility to stand for 8+ hoursAbility to lift 50-75 lbs consistentlyAbility to bend, twist, squat, reachCandidate must have excellent attendanceTeam-OrientedLeadership experienceWhy Clayton?Full-time team members have the flexibility to create their own health, dental, and vision benefits package.
