Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: RN Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certification Must-Have: Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test. Description: Filling open needs for a fast-paced, high acuity Step Down unit. We provide care to critically ill patients. We frequently receive patients needing our care from various regions. Unit capacity is 14 beds. Ages of patients served include those with diagnoses such as chest pain, post-kidney transplant, acute renal failure, congestive heart failure, GI bleed, pneumonia, myocardial infarction, and pulmonary disease. Patients may also have comorbidities requiring thoracic and/or other surgical procedures. Drug and/or alcohol withdrawal cases are common. The nurse to patient ratio is 3:1.
