With around 34,000 employees, the company generated sales of CHF 11.2 billion in 2023.Job DescriptionReports to: Procurement & Logistics ManagerRole Summary: The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for the company's product offerings. Working closely with cross-functional operational teams, the role ensures demand plans are aligned with business objectives, optimize inventory levels, and support product availability and customer service performance.General ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts for all product categories and product lines.Analyze historical sales trends, project pipelines, customer demand patterns, market intelligence, and commercial activities to improve forecast accuracy.Monitor forecast performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to improve forecasting effectiveness.Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance teams to gather market insights and align demand forecasts with business plans.Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing accurate demand projections and analysis.Work closely with Production, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure demand plans are translated into effective supply and inventory plans.Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to reduce stock-outs, excess inventory, slow-moving stock, and obsolescence.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, forecasting methods, and data quality.Maintain accurate planning data within ERP and reporting systems.QualificationsBSc/HND in Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, in the manufacturing industry.Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.Good understanding of forecasting methodologies, inventory management principles, and supply chain processes.Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability.Additional InformationCompetitive Benefits: Health Insurance, paid time off and paid holidaysCompany Culture: Sika centers work culture around entrepreneurship where individuals have the power to make decisions, learn from mistakes, and define their careers.Meaningful Work: Sika products enhance our surroundings and the work every employee completes helps positively impact daily lives by making our world stronger, more durable, and more reliable – every day.
