Serve as a resource (along with the Business Manager) to faculty and staff for human resources processes.Coordinate with the Business Manager and campus units to ensure smooth onboarding (space, IT, Telecom) for new employees.Coordinate and schedule all Faculty/Academic Staff reviews with the Department chair45% Financial Transactions and ReportingWork in collaboration with the Business Manager to verify that transactions are accurate and complete and documentation is on file; initiate transactions (Distribution of Income & Expense, General Error Corrections, Cost Redistributions) promptly to correct errors.Process sub-award payments for grant accounts; assist department office staff in processing financial transactions (Disbursement Vouchers, Requisitions/Purchase Orders) as needed; deposit cash and checks received; initiate billings for Copy Center charges and maintain records.Assist in the development, maintenance and analysis of financial reports for the Department Chair, Business Manager, and faculty. Reports include: budget to actual (including encumbrances and forecasting), project-specific reports (as needed by the funding agency) and evaluating and monitoring salary distributions to identify funding gaps and ensure employees are paid from the correct account(s). Analyze financial processes and propose creative solutions to increase operational efficiency.
