BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Finance Manager in Chicago, IL 60601

Position Title: Finance Manager – FP&A

Location: Chicago, IL 60601

Shift Timing: Mon–Friday 40.00 Hours Per Week

Anticipated Start Date: 1–2 Weeks

Duration: 8 Months contract with the possibility to be extended the contract

Pay Rate: $60–$65/hr on W2

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Manager with strong FP&A expertise to support financial oversight for the North America Target Operating Model program. This role is responsible for tracking financial performance, managing forecasting activities, and ensuring alignment with approved business cases. The ideal candidate will work closely with HR, project teams, and leadership to provide accurate financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Program Tracking & Benefits Realization

Maintain and manage a detailed transitions tracker across waves, teams, cost centers, and solution lines.

Track headcount transitions, workforce-related costs, and associated savings.

Classify and manage financial data including Opex vs. Capex and restructuring vs. non-restructuring investments.

Monitor investments, gross savings, and ongoing run costs against approved business cases.

Provide variance analysis and detailed explanations for deviations such as hiring delays, scope changes, or cost fluctuations.

Align financial tracking with business cases and updated forecasts.

Identify financial risks and opportunities and communicate them to stakeholders.

Deliver monthly and quarterly financial summaries including net savings and performance metrics.

B. FP&A Support – Analysis, Reporting & Forecasting

Prepare detailed financial analysis and reporting for FP&A teams, PMO, and leadership stakeholders.

Support monthly close processes and integrate program financials into management reporting.

Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and long-range financial planning cycles.

Ensure all assumptions are clearly documented, validated, and aligned with organizational FP&A standards.

Submit quarterly comparability adjustments as required.

C. Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with HR, Finance, and Project teams to validate workforce-related costs and financial assumptions.

Collaborate with PMO and business leaders to ensure alignment with program goals.

Provide timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights to leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, data analysis).

Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Power BI and Power Query.

Experience supporting large-scale transformation or program finance initiatives.

Knowledge of accounting classifications (Opex vs. Capex, restructuring costs).

Additional Information:

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite/Hybrid as applicable).
