Cath Lab Tech - Travel Job

Join a hospital in Houston, TX as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise while enjoying the professional challenge of a high-acuity cardiac program. You will assist physicians and Cath Lab personnel in diagnostic and interventional procedures and operate advanced imaging equipment to capture critical cardiac and vascular data.


Minimum Qualifications

• ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist.
• RCIS certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required or preferred as noted by the client. (Preferred items are identified as preferred.)
• Interventional Cath Lab experience required. Candidates without interventional experience will not be considered.
• Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with MERGE Hemo and Meditech Expanse EMR preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required. ACLS competency for fluoroscopic table positioning is required.
• State licensure when applicable.
• Ability to perform typical procedures including EPS, PVI, PPM, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, IR, and vascular procedures.
• Willingness to educate and mentor junior staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in EP or IR procedures preferred.
• RCIS strongly preferred when not required.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00-19:00.
• On-call expectation: minimum of 10 on-call shifts per month.
• Staffing model: 3 rooms, 11 total staff on unit; typical day staffing includes 1 charge, 3 techs, 3 nurses with 4x10 schedules.
• Patient ratio: typically 3 staff per case.
• Scrub attire: surgical scrubs provided.
