Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Labor and Delivery Department, Winston-Salem, NC. Qualifications Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program. Previous Labor and Delivery experience. Basic Life Support (BLS). Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required based on specialty. Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi‑state compact and/or single‑state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services. Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Responsibilities Deliver safe, patient‑centered care using the nursing process, clinical judgment, and evidence‑based practices—monitoring conditions, administering treatments, and adapting care to achieve optimal outcomes across the continuum. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive quality and safety—maintaining accurate documentation, supporting communication and delegation, engaging in professional development, and upholding ethical standards while meeting diverse patient care needs. Location 885‑bed tertiary care hospital. Region’s only children’s hospital, burn center, and Level I adult & pediatric trauma centers. Home to a National Cancer Institute‑designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Centers of excellence in cardiovascular, neuroscience, orthopedics, and transplantation. Position Details Part‑time, PRN (as needed), Night Shift. Compensation Base compensation listed within the pay range of $38.20 to $57.30 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training. Premium pay such as shift, on call, and others based on position. Incentive pay for select positions. Opportunity for annual increases based on performance.
